About the Talk:

In 2016, Egypt took a major decision; the devaluation of the Egyptian Pound, among other decisions that influence the Egyptian Economy. In this event, Mr. Yasser Ibrahim will be presenting some facts and interesting statistics about the Egyptian Economy, followed by an open dialogue and discussion.

About the Speaker:

Yasser Ibrahim worked for Commerzbank AG from 1991 till end of 2016, first in Germany then Bahrain and finally in Egypt. His last position was Managing Director and Senior Representative of the bank in Egypt. In January 2017, Mr. Ibrahim joined National Bank of Egypt (UK) Limited as Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director.

From May 2012 until November 2014 Mr. Ibrahim also served as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mercedes-Benz Egypt S.A.E.

Mr. Ibrahim is also the Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors of the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (since 2006), Member of the Board of Trustees of the German School (DEO) in Dokki/Cairo (since 2003) and Founding Member of the German Speaking Rotary Club Rhein-Nile in Cairo (since 2002).
