Screening of ‘Photocopy’ an award winning Egyptian film directed by Tamer Ashry.
The Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau (ECEB) in collaboration with the British Egyptian Society (BES) is proud to host the screening of ‘Photocopy’ an award winning Egyptian film directed by Tamer Ashry. The film has English sub-titles.
The film screening will take place on Thursday 13th December at 6:30 for 7:00 pm at 4 Chesterfield Gardens
After the film, there will be a Q and A with the film director Tamer Ashry
Tamer’s work has been screened at numerous international festivals and featured on PBS, BBC, and Al-Jazeera. He has also directed work for Emmy and Oscar-winning filmmakers Gini Reticker (Trials of Spring), and Thomas Lennon (Sacred).
“Photocopy,” is a charming film about an old man discovering a new-found enthusiasm for life and love in current-day Cairo.
The film won Best Arab Film at El Gouna Festival, Best Feature Film at Tripoli Film Festival, Best Script at Oran international film festival and Best Actor at Kazan international film festival.
Tamer was awarded best First-Time Director by the Egyptian Film Association.
