Experience Egypt in Oxford Monday 26th September

26th September @ 8:45 am - 5:00 pm

 

Option 1    By coach departing at 8.45 Hilton Double Tree Hotel Victoria Station

 

Option 2    By car meet at the Ashmoleon Museum at 11 am

 

Meet at the Ashmolean for coffee in the rooftop restaurant.

 

A guided tour of the Egypt and Sudan Collection by the Keeper Mr Liam MacNamara.

 

Lunch will be at the Head of the River Pub at 1.15pm

Menu  Vegan soup and sourdough bread

            A sharing platter, for 2, of either:

Cobble Lane charcuterie: Coppa. Bresaola, Chorizo, fennel and garlic salami, olives, pickles, Focaccia, sourdough bread and extra virgin olive oil                          or

Hummus, tzatziki and roast pepper dip with Laverstoke Park Farm buffalomi, marinated olives and grilled pitta breads.

 

Bodleian Library where Daniela Rosenow will give us a talk and tour of the Tutenkhamun exhibition at the Bodleian.

 

This tour is open to members of the British Egyptian Society, Friends and Family

 

Cost will be dependent on numbers but approximately £65 by coach and £35 by car.
