9th Sir Michael Weir Annual Lecture: Radicalism in the Middle East: Perspectives from Egypt, Ambassador Ahmed Faroukh
Sir Michael Weir was the founding Chairman in 1990 of the British Egyptian Society and continued until 2006 when he handed over to The Rt. Hon Baroness Symons of Vernham Dean, shortly before his death. This year’s event will given by the highly respected Egyptian Diplomat, Ambassador Ahmed Faroukh. The Vice Chairman, Dr Magdy Ishak Hanna heard him deliver the lecture and was so impressed at his honesty and clarity plus the calm and forthright way he handled the Q and A.
This is our flagship event and is our tribute to our sadly missed founder and his inspiring wife, Hilary.
Do please come!
