On 13th October, in the Cholmondeley Room of the House of Lords, the British Egyptian Society held a Reception for over 80 Members, Friends and Students, to welcome to London the new Egyptian Ambassador, His Excellency Mr Ashraf Swelam and his wife, Her Excellency Mrs Jumana Shehata. The event was hosted by our Chairman, The Rt Hon Baroness Symons of Venham Dean, and sponsored by our Co Chairman, Professor Magdy Ishak Hanna and our Patron, Dr Ahmed El Mokadem. It was much enjoyed.
