SUMMARY:"Egypt You Have No Match" - A Talk By the renowned Dr Ahmed El-Mokadem
DESCRIPTION:The Egyptian Bureau for Cultural & Educational Affairs have the honour to invite you to “Egypt You Have No Match” – A Talk By the renowned Dr Ahmed El-Mokadem.\nThe Talk will be followed by Open Discussion. A Light Buffet will be served after the talk. \nBased on 14 Strategic Diversified Pillars\, a hypothesis is proposed\, for appropriate testing\, that “Egypt Has No Match”. Focused on one Pillar\, the Geo-Strategic one\, an in–depth empirical and analytical study is presented. Two novel instruments are used in the analysis; namely: Now-Casting\, as opposed to Forecasting\, and Geo-Dynamics\, instead of Geo-Political. \nBased on the thorough analysis\, a proposal is advocated of a “Five-Pronged Strategy for Egypt\, as a Stable Pivoting State”. It is claimed that the implementation for such Strategy would ultimately strengthen Egypt’s negotiating powers\, strategically\, not only in the Middle East\, but perhaps in a much wider sphere of influence. It is hoped this study will represent the first coverage on the Geo-Strategic Pillar\, to be followed by more studies covering the remaining 13 Pillars\, hopefully confirming the hypothesis of Egypt as Having No Match. \nDr Ahmed El-Mokadem Born in Egypt in 1941 and moved to the United Kingdom in 1963. Dual nationality (Egyptian/British) for almost 45 years.\nEducated in Egypt (BA Econ 1961 Cairo University)\, and United Kingdom\n(PhD Econ 1968 University of Manchester).\nDr El-Mokadem’s international career spans more than 45 years across various sectors including academic\, consultancy and business. Dr El-Mokadem was adviser to many governments in economic policy\, oil and defence\, including but not limited to the US Government\, and the United Kingdom Bank of England\, Treasury and Foreign Office\, and many governments of oil producing countries. He is also adviser to many leading financial and investment institutions. \nDr El-Mokadem published and/or supervised many books\, articles and research projects on UK monetary and fiscal policies\, North Sea oil\, OPEC\, and the world oil market.
